SharePoint Online - Provider Hosted App - Can Create Generic Handler for background Process

Hello Developers,

I got the scenario to migrate the SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint Online.

That I have done by third party tool. 

How can migrate wsp that is created in VS. 

Can it is possible to create generic handler in Provider Hosted App and run in background when It was Trigger.

What will be right approach in doing for WSP.

You cannot migrate WSPs to SPO because you don't have the option to deploy Full-Trust Solutions in SPO. In regards of your requirement, the answer is yes...and I would recommend to have a look at Webhooks and Azure Functions better than remote event receivers in Provider-Hosted Add-ins
