SharePoint Online News Webpart for selected sites filter by using Managed Property is not working

It seems that filtering by more than one managed property in the News Web Part is not working as expected.

As a workaround, you could use the Highlight Content Web Part to use Custom query filtering (KQL). This would allow you to add AND/OR clauses within your queries.

Another possibility is that if you map the properties at site level, then it works only at current site level.

So it is better that you map the properties directly at tenant level via SharePoint admin center > search > Manage Search Schema.

I hope this helps!

@NikolinoDE Thank you for the answer. But as per the customer's requirement, they want to post news by using Add Post option of the News Webpart and the Add Post option is not available inside Highlighted Content Webpart. Also, they want to publish news from the associated hub site to the main intranet hub site.

The Add Post option is not available in the Highlighted Content Webpart.

One solution could be to use a News Webpart on the main intranet hub site and configure it to display news from associated hub sites.

By default, the News Webpart will only show news from the current site.

Site Admins will need to change this Webpart to view news from the Hub or any associated Hub site. With this configuration, the main intranet hub site will display News posts from the associated hub sites.

Another option is to choose "Recommended for current user" as a source for your news posts, which will display posts for the user based on their activity and relevance.
