Documenting this for anyone having the same issue.

We have implemented the Adobe Online documentcloud intergration with our SharePoint online instance.

As per https://documentcloud.adobe.com/o365pdf/start.html

Scenario

Error

URL provided has expired or invalid. This is likely due to your Internet Explorer browser configuration. Please review instructions for configuring your browser Trust Zones here, and try again once you have completed the steps.

If you continue to encounter this error, please consider contacting support and referencing session 48e75d74-f9a4-4bf8-a776-95e3cb47dc43.

If the same user did the same thing using Chrome they would be shown the PDF document

Solution

Make sure every user is having the following 4 domains added to their Internet TrustedZone

*.adobe.com
*.acrobat.com
*.adobe.io
*.adobelogin.com

We found that some users were not getting the updated Group Policy which set this

i.e.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains\adobe.com]
"*"=dword:00000002

Information about this issue is here

I'm logging this here as I could find NO documentation specifically about this error online.
