Sharepoint Online : Disable Folder Sharing

Hi all,

Does anyone know if there's a way to disable folder sharing in sharepoint online. I am planning to enable external sharing however want only files to be shared rather than folders to mitigate the risk.

Option available is to enable both file and folder sharing or none. 

If not,microsoft should consider this in their roadmap.

Unfortunately, Sharing is not something you can modify at the folder level
