Sharepoint OneDrive migration to OneDrive in Office 365 group by view errors

Dear Community,

After migrating users from the Sharepoint server onedrive to the cloud onedrive using SPMT, when loading views/pages that use group by column value it returns the following error:

The "XsltListViewWebPart" Web Part appears to be causing a problem. Specified argument was out of the range of valid values.

The migration did correclty migrate the metadata columns. Note that OneDrive already contained other files (from Teams etc)

In case anyone wondering, it's not related to migration.  MS support recognized the problem as a limitation (I call this a bug) with OneDrive classic experience.  Using group by in a custom view does throw an error whatever the tenant/user. MS won't address this error arguing that classic view is deprecated. The proposed workaround is to use a Sharepoint library instead...
