Sharepoint Lists - Item level Permission - Group ownership of a record.

Hi everyone in this community. 

Is it possible to use this configuration below in a following way

A Sharepoint or M365 group will be a owner of a record in a list so every member of this group will be able to see those records and have appropriate permissions for those records.

Users with read access won't be able to see those records. 

Or is it possible to this with another approach using Sharepoint or Sharepoint Lists.
