Sharepoint list link downloads excel file

I have a list with a hyper link that points to the address of the attachment (EXCEL file).  When I click it, it downloads the file instead of opening in the browser, is there a way to make it open in the browser instead of downloading?  Multiple people will be making changes, but they aren't reflected since the file is being saved on their local machine.
