SharePoint Discussion Board template seems to be broken

I have a site that has multiple subsites and we just discovered that the discussion boards are not working correctly.  We can post but we cannot reply to any of the posts.  Has anyone experienced this?  Some of the discussion boards were migrated in and some were created here new on this site but they are all having the same issue.  Permissions are all set accordingly.

Hey @Sandra Emery,

I haven't seen that before but would you mind posting a few images so we can see the behavior? I'd like to see the reply function not working. Also if you have Chrome can you hit F12 to open up the console window and see if any errors are appearing? (screenshot that too please)
