if I copy in 'edit grid mode' in SPO, can you copy paste in last name, first name, and it will take?

right now im getting  " 

The user does not exist or is not unique"

but i was able to copy paste person group people in the past

@childishgambino I just tried it on my SharePoint site & it still works for me.

Make sure you are copy pasting the correct name & in correct format. Organizations may have different formats for names like: "FirstName LastName" or "FirstName, LastName" or "LastName, FirstName".

Also, make sure there are no extra spaces in name while copy pasting. Here's what I tried & what is working/not working for me:
