SharePoint 2013 with SQL 2014 SP1, it is possible?

Copper Contributor

I would like to know if i can install SP2013 with SQL Server 2014 SP1?

I'm planning to migrate SP2013 to SP2016, using 2 instance of SQL Server 2014 at the same machine but for SP2016 the requirement is SQL2014 SP1 and for SP2013 it is just SQL2014 ...

Thanks for help

I think you are not going to have problems in this scenario, but I cannot find an official Microsoft document telling tha SQL Server 2014 SP 1 is fully supported by SharePoint 2013

I can't specifically address SP2013 with SQL 2014 SP1, but I can tell you that I've been running a farm hosting our company intranet on SP2013 and SQL 2014 SP2 for over a year without any notable problems.

Yes, this is fully supported. Microsoft supports a baseline, in this case SQL 2014 RTM, plus any future patches for SQL 2014 (so SP1, security patches, rollup updates, and so on).
