I've created a site using highlighted content to display staff profiles by department. The profiles are created on another site so when I search the "About Staff" page, nothing is coming up.  I would like for other staff members to type in a subject matter in search and find the person who is the expert in that area. Is it possible for search to see the highlighted content?

Hello,

You mentioned that the profiles are created on another site, how are they created? Is it through a SharePoint list? The "About Staff" page might be in a different site. The searchbox only searches on the specific site unless you have changed the scope.

To solve this, easiest would be to connect the two sites through hub site.

Yours sincerely,
