I'm setting up a Sharepoint system at my job and are setting it up as a hiearchy due to specific requirements when it comes to inheritance, permissions and structure.
With this in mind I created a main site which has a secondary 'child' site under it so that the link is like this (/main-site/secondary-site/). I need it to be a seperate site because there is a need for a different theme.
However, when I try to search for a document that I've created in a library under the secondary site, the results are not shown on the main site. I need to be able to search cross all children on the main site, but this does not seem to be working. Are there any configurations that needs to be done, or is this just not possible?
