We are using major and minor versioning in some of our SharePoint libraries. When a document is modified, say for example the word "blue" is deleted from a document and Version History creates a new minor version, when we use the built-in SharePoint search function, it no longer finds that document in the search results when the search keyword is 'blue'. Is there a way to change the scope of the search results to look at all of the versions contained within the Version History?

Solution
By design, Microsoft not including the minor versions in search, that's why you can't find them in search.

In regard to the question, "Is there a way to change the scope of the search results to look at all of the versions contained within the Version History?"
Is there a way to include previous major file versions in search?

@Rob BarkerWe have the same problem and haven't found a solution yet. We are also using major and minor versioning in our SharePoint libraries.
It is an essential for us that our users can search every document (regardless of whether it is a minor or major version). Otherwise the Modern search of SharePoint makes no sense.
Have you found a solution since your post? Thank you very much in advance.
