Removing user permissions from SharePoint document

Hi Everyone,

I am having issues with removing user permissions from a document that has been sent to an external user using a specific link. When I press the X next to the name to remove, it asks if I want to remove permissions, I click remove and then go back into the specific link permissions and the name is still there!

Anyone had this issue who could help or anyone have any ideas?

Was the link sent to specific people? If so you need to remove the link rather than just the person.

I did what you mentioneds, and removed the link and re-applied it to all the other users it was applied to and it seemed to do the trick. Strange one. Thanks for your response.
