Currently migrating files from on prem to Onedrive and Sharepoint. We are managing controlling access to sharepoint via o365 security groups.
The plan was to use Onedrive for the files and then use the new "Add Shortcut to Onedrive" for the users to access the shares.
This has all worked ok in testing so far but the issue we are having is if a permission is removed it does not remove the link nor any sync'd files from the users onedrive.
Is there something i'm missing in sharepoint that would automatically remove this from Onedrive when they are removed from the permission group?
Has anyone else done something similar that can suggest another/better way to do this?
