Hi
I have read this page, (https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/SharePoint/Document-in-quot-Read-only-quot-mode-all-the-time/...) but our issue is a bit different
We have started using Sharepoint Online and have created a few document libraries for the IT department team.
We have shared files with users that are not part of IT, and do not have permission to the document library. We have granted them edit access by sharing the file to them.
They are able to edit the file via the web app and are able to co-authour file.
The issue is when they open file via office app, the file is read-only. They can only modify the file if the save it, which defeats the purpose of co-authoring.
All users are using Office Proplus 1908 64 bit on Win10 Pro x64
Affected users do not have issue if i have shared files with via on my OneDrive.
Document Library does not have mandatory tags.
Ticket has been logged with MS.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Thanks
