Previewing WAV files in a document library appears broken

I have tried this across three different tenants on Windows, Mac and across Edge, Chrome and IE. All seem broken and don't play WAV files.

Has anyone else noticed this issue? The media preview player launches but the bar never progresses and no sound plays (see image)
