PDFs show on communications site but not PPTs

I'm stumped on this one. The SharePoint communications site I created is made up of site pages with web parts. I use the File and Media web part to embed PDFs and PPTs. I don't want these files, particularly the PowerPoints, to be downloaded or edited by anyone, so I create a View-Only, Block Download link. I copy that link, choose From Link on the File and Media web part, and paste it in. When I do this with PDFs, it works great, and the people I've tested it with can see it. When I follow the same steps with PowerPoints, the people I've tested it with say they get the "request access" screen. How can I get the PowerPoints to show on my site pages as the PDFs do?
