We are using the PnP Search Web Parts in our portal.  We use one search page, passing search parameters via the URL which is linked in the Navigation.  A number of the links in the menu use this page.

When a user clicks on the first link, the page loads just fine and we get the desired result.  Clicking on any other link to that page does not re-load the page with the new parameters.  There's no page load registered at all.  This makes an architecture with page reuse problematic when linked from the navigation.

Has anyone else found a workaround for this? It makes a search-based portal pretty tough at the moment unless each search is it's own page which is a maintenance nightmare.
