Opening a Form list

I have created two lists.

One that constains a listing of courses (Course Info) that includes the course name and dates of when a paricular course will be run. I have created a gallery view of the Course Info list that includes a button that on each card opens the form associated with my second list (Course registration).

This works, however I'd like to be able to pre-populate the Course Registration form with the course name from the Course Info list. 

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how that might be done without resorting to a PowerApp?

@Alfabob Unfortunately, this is not possible using SharePoint OOTB modern experience list forms. 

You have to customize the list forms to achieve this. You can either use power apps or SPFx for such custom form requirements.
