We have a modern list that, until now, has been fully sortable and groupable in the way we wish it to be. Today there are particular columns that when selected as a grouping column will cause the list to display an error regarding the list view threshold. This list has recently surpassed the list view threshold of 5000 items, but in the past we have not had any other issues if the views were set to display less than that threshold, which these are.
Additionally, when grouping by two columns where the list does not display an error, the second grouping is ignored. There are certain combinations of groups and sorts where list items that were previously displayed are no longer shown.
Is anyone else experiencing this behavior suddenly? Is there a way to work around the error and get our list back to the way we'd like?
