I have an Excel workbook which I keep on one-drive, and it has some cell formulas which refers to information from other workbooks ("which are on my C: drive").
I noticed that if I input a formula something like
='C:\Users\abc.DOMAIN\Downloads\[Excel_Workbook1.xlsx]Tab1'!F4
then it automatically changes the formulas to
='https://tenant-my.sharepoint.com/Users/abc.DOMAIN/Downloads/[Excel_Workbook1.xlsx]Tab1'!F4
And it works :). Doesn't the above formula mean that it will look for excel document on one-drive? I am wondering how does it route back correctly to my C: drive?
