News Widget Updating in Microsoft Teams

Our team is developing a Knowledge Management System using Modern SharePoint. We have linked the News widget to our Teams Channel.

 

Despite following the steps outlined on this page, none of the News updates we post in SharePoint populate in Teams. Has anyone had a similar problem, and if so, how did they get around it?

@PattyBowen I just use a JSON-formatted button in the Site Pages library to trigger a flow in Power Automate that posts the news item to the Teams channel. That way I can easily control which news items or pages get posted in Teams.
