Microsoft list - Unable to add columns

Copper Contributor

Hi,

I tried editing my own list and adding columns, however I wasn't able to click add column on microsoft list. I did try to clear cache and cookies on my web browser and trying on different device. It still did not work.

Are there currently bugs on the add column buttons? Is there a way to fix this issue?

@thereutnof_mm I just checked in out tenant and I am able to create/add new columns in the SharePoint list without any issues.

You can also add the new columns from list settings page, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your SharePoint list
  2. Click on Settings (gear) icon from top right corner > Select List settings
  3. From list settings page, scroll down to Columns section and select Create column: ganeshsanap_0-1688621376965.png

@ganeshsanap

Thanks for your reply! I'm using a personal account for list, so I don't have an option to go to list settings. Do you have any other ways that I can resolve this problem?

Thanks!

Solution

@thereutnof_mm oh ok. I am able to reproduce this issue for Personal account Microsoft Lists.

Seems like some issue at Microsoft end:

@ganeshsanap

Even with adding the collumn in Sharepoint - settings, I don't see it in my lists (not in Sharepoint, not in Teams)

I do see this in the settings:

But I don't see this here:

When I want to modify the collumn, or add a new one, I get an error message that is telling my: try it later again.
