At my organization we have a weekly meeting for project discussion. The meeting is a few hours long and composed of about 9, 20 minute timeslots starting at 1:00 pm. We would like to allow folks to jump into Sharepoint and select the timeslot they would like to have for their project. Once they select a timeslot, it should no longer be available for others on the same day.
Currently we have a document library set up since each project discussion has an associated meeting minute document. The document library has a date and time column where we are relying on folks to manually enter the timeslot.
My question is: would there be a way to implement timeslots in this was in Sharepoint out of box? Or would this require the use of Power Apps? At my organization power apps has not been fully implemented, so going that route would require a lot more work to get people access.

Solution@JSmitty595 SharePoint has always been very bad at preventing overlapping calendar entries and preventing clashes. Although it's not the answer you want to hear Power Apps is the best solution. I built a desk booking system for my company in Power Apps with a SharePoint list as the backend that ran for about 3 years and did prevent such clashes.
