Main Site is Classic Experience

Why does my main site show "Classic Experience". Is that the only option? How do I make it Modern?

By the way, if you mean the root site in a SPO tenant I think this is not available yet and when it comes to your tenat it will be possible by means of PS

I do not have the option to Connect to Office 365 Group, any other ideas?
