Lookup Value not pulling into column

Hi all, 

I am trying to get ID to populate in reference number and I have done a lookup but for some reason its not populating. Any ideas?

@jodieL1060 Can you add more details about issue you are facing?

1. Are you unable to create a lookup column?
2. Or you have successfully created a lookup column but values are not showing when you are trying to add new item or edit existing item in child list?
3. Are you trying to populate reference number column in child list automatically based on ID column in parent list?
