Is it possible, if using a person column to default it to the current user using a conditional formula?

Solution

@Alfabob Unfortunately, No. You can use conditional formula to show/hide the fields based on conditions.

You cannot set the value of fields using conditional formulas. You need to customize the list forms using Power apps to set the person field with currently logged in user. Follow this thread for more information about same: Set current user as default value of Person or Group field
