After upgrading of our SharePoint to new version links to html files stored on Windows file server do not work anymore. I have found that it is related to new security settings which block such links. Is there any way to fix this problem? I cannot move the files from Windows server to SharePoint as they would take too much space. I need to leave them where they are. I have added a note to users advising them to copy path with file name and paste it in browser address line. This way all is working. But I would like to set the links so that users would just click on to open these files in the browser. Can this be done ?
