I'm having an issue with lists in SharePoint Online (‘Modern SharePoint’) and the Microsoft Lists application. I was under the impression that while Microsoft Lists is a standalone application, that the underlying architecture was basically the same— a SharePoint Online list that had been spruced up—but that one could access these lists from either application SharePoint Online or Microsoft Lists.

What I am having an issue with is list values are not displaying in SharePoint. If I create a list in the Microsoft Lists mobile (iOS) application, values in various columns are not displaying when I pull up the list in SPO. Certain columns are completely blank all the way down. I’m seeing this primarily with ‘choice’ column types. However, there are certain ‘choice’ columns which are fine and displaying correctly with their respective values.

Now, if I open up the Microsoft Lists web application, the list is identical to SPO and is missing all the same values as in the Lists web app. The same goes for SPO mobile application—missing all the same values. If I open the same list in the iOS application, all values are present. There is no issue.

Lastly, I cannot edit values in the Lists web app or in SPO. If I edit values, they do not display once saved. If I open an item to edit, the field is populated with the chosen value, yet the value is still not displayed in the list.

I have included images of the same list in SPO web app, SPO mobile app, MS Lists mobile app, and Lists web app.

Any help with this issue or to better understand the cross-functionality between SPO lists and MS Lists is much appreciated!

I’m having a hard time seeing what’s wrong here. If you mean the actual items are different it looks like you have different views being used on each that are filtering different. Need to make sure they are filtered and sorted the same across interfaces as that might explain the inconsistencies?
