Hi

I trying to install MSOLAP.8 on SharePoint 2013 to work with excel services

We have clients who have created spreadsheets using Excel 2019 that connect MS SQL via a data connection created on the spreadsheet.

The data connection string get created it with the provider=MSOLAP.8

Unfortunately this does not work which SharePoint 2013 excel services because it uses MSOLAP.5

Can MSOLAP.5 be upgrade to MSOLAP.8 on SharePoint 2013?

Work around is to get the developer to edit excel data connection string to be provider=MSOLAP.5 and upload the file backup to SharePoint 2013.

Thanks for any help or advice you can provide.
