Inserting a You Tube Video

Copper Contributor

Hi all, I'm trying to insert a you Tube vide into a Sharepoint 365 page  using the insert YT icon. When I paste in the embed code into the wizard window at the right hand side, it displays for a second then reverts to the original default sample text in the text field. Using firefox. Any thoughts? Thanks DC

is it happening for all youtube videos, or just a specific video?

If all, check that youtube hasn't been removed from the allow list - see https://support.office.com/en-us/article/allow-or-restrict-the-ability-to-embed-content-on-sharepoin...

@Rob Ellisthanks. Adjusted the options as per your suggestion...still same issue. I can embed the video using the<embed> link just not the You Tube symbol quick link. Video here... https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RUsDHOUNzCS3WeizwVOB_mfpkcsvcvxG/view?usp=drivesdk

try just pasting the url for the video into the youtube web part, rather than an embed link?

(my understanding is that either should work, but you never know)

Perhaps a glitch. Just as easy to upload a video to Stream and insert that way, or use the <embed> icon -that works too
