Hub site can't join a hub site

Hi

We have our SP tenant (contoso.sharepoint.com)

I have created a communication site and I go in to "Site Information" - "Hub Site Asscoiation" and set that to Contoso and the navigation from Contoso shows up.

So far so good.

No I create a Hub Site contoso.sharepoint.com/sites/corporate

I wish for it to display the root site navigation also.

I go into this site and then "Site Information" but "Hub Site Association" doesn't show up.

Should it?

No, you cannot associate a hub to another hub from the site. You can only do that from the SharePoint Admin Center. Associated hubs do not get the “parent hub” navigation. They effectively only become part of a search scope. To share navigation across all sites and hubs, designate a home site so that you can have global navigation in the app bar on the left side of all sites.
