We currently use SharePoint 2013 calendars for booking a number of different sets of shared resources, bikes, IT equipment etc, but it has always been possible to double book items.

We are moving to SharePoint Online and I am rebuilding these resource booking systems. How can I use calendars or custom lists or PowerAutomate to prevent shared resources from being double booked? There are three equipment booking sets, 6 bikes, 30 microscopes, 5 chambers. that I need three different booking systems for. Each piece of equipment needs extra information collected via metadata columns.

Many thanks

This is something you have to check in your PowerApp Logic so when someone books one of those resources, the logi in the App checks if that booking is possible or not
