When someone views a document on Sharepoint, it sends an alert every time. Even though there are no changes being made. For example, John makes an actual change in the document, and I receive the alert, so then I view the document. Then John receives an alert that I made a change, so he views it, but in reality, I haven't done anything to the document. Because we both keep going in to see what changes have been made, we both keep receiving alerts.
Is there any way to minimize these kinds of alert to only show an actual change has been made to the document?
