Highlighted Content Web Part - Display News Author Byline

Our SharePoint Online users like the Film Strip format on the Highlighted Content Web Part over the News Web Part to display News on their pages. They do not like that the Highlighted Content displays the Created By column instead of the Author Byline column. They also don't like the SharePoint Page content type icon that appears on every news article.

1. How can I customize the Highlighted Content results? or
2. How can I customize the format on the New web part? or
3. How can I request an update to these web parts?
