Hide the Site Logo in sharepoint online

Is there any way to hide the Site Logo in Sharepoint Online Communication site

I don't recall a site setting for that purpose, but I might be wrong. An alternative is a SPFx extension that hides the logo, but it requires development effort

create a PNG image with transparent background like this (there is an image between the quotation marks)

and upload it as your site logo.
