Force users to fill certain columns when uploading documents

Hi guys!

Is it possible to only allow uploading of documents if certain columns in the document library are filled in when uploading? I tried to do this using the column settings, but I was still able to upload documents without filling in certain columns.

I would say it's not an issue...It's designed like this based on customer feedback ;-). What you have to "remind" your users to fill required metadata is the attention views
