For group integration, does SP site need to be a subsite of main tenant Site Collection?

Hey, How do you save to another site within your Office 365 tenant from Office 2016 i.e:

I have a SharePoint main site https://<tenantname>.Sharepoint.com with another Sharepoint site called http://<tenanename>.sharepoint.com/Sites/sitename. In Office I can select Save As -> SharePoint but i can only save to my SharePoint main site https://<tenantname>.Sharepoint.com with no option to save to http:/<tenanename>.sharepoint.com/Sites/sitename.

Within Office (e.g. Word) only your past locations are listed within the SharePoint section.

If you click on https://<tenantname>.sharepoint.com complete the url in the dialog. Then you can save the file within the required location. Then the next time you want to store a document there it will be available.

Thank you for the reply. I have been using that method as a work around. When you double click the SharePoint save location within Word, etc. it brings up a browsable version of the main SharePoint Site plus access to the subsites but not the other sites. I also need to use this work around when attaching files to Outlook which in short is very annoying.
