File request feature in SharePoint - Security Considerations

What would be the Security Considerations for enabling "File request" feature in SharePoint?

We have already enabled anonymous links option in Sharepoint online for the tenant and sharing settings are most permissive, still I'd like to understand what should be considered before enabling this in a tenant.

Normally I would say that anonymous links and file request feature are quite risky or even a dangerous approach. But this is also based on how big your tenant is, what you are working with and how knowledgeable your average employee is in IT/M365.

Do all your employees need to collaborate externally within your tenant?
Would it be possible for you to consider having a second tenant for external collaboration?
You could still use your work accounts on that second tenant. The benefits are that you really ensure a safe way to never have the accident where employees share sensitive information to external users.
