File icon interrupt the tile view

Copper Contributor

We've been facing an issue since the beginning of the week where a URL logo appears on links while displaying document library files in tile format. Despite the links still functioning correctly, a blue error symbol with a white box appears on top of the text and in parts of the box. Additionally, it blocks for access to the link. Has anyone else encountered similar issues and found a solution for removing it?

I just tried it on our SharePoint site (with targeted release) and it shows the URL file type correctly in the tile view:

ganeshsanap_0-1702904206929.pngIs this issue for only one user or multiple users? If only one, try clearing browser cache & cookies (for all time) and re-login to SharePoint site and see if it loads correctly.

If not, try raising a support ticket with Microsoft directly and report this behavior: Get M365 Support - Online Support

Might not have been clear in my description. I get the exact same as you, however if I then start to change the way I want information displayed the new "feature" for links interferes with the settings as it somehow is coded to show the file type despite what my code is telling it.
And that is not a personal issue... it is an issue for all users utilizing the view.

@Hanne @ganeshsanap Was this issue ever resolved? We are experiencing the same issue with a customized gallery view.

I don't think so. I will suggest you to raise a support ticket with Microsoft directly and report this behavior. Follow: Get M365 Support - Online Support

@Hanne If you are still facing this issue, you can raise a support ticket as well so that Microsoft will know multiple tenants/customers are facing this issue.
