External users Communication site and search

Hello,

When my external users (Azure B2B users from another tenant) try to use the search box in the top right corner they don't get any results. I cannot find any documentation that limits to external users to not being able to use "Search this site".

Is there any way or guidance on how to get this working?

Is there any kind of workaround for this issue? Or official guidance saying that it shouldn't work?

@Magnus Göransson- I cannot figure this out a year later.

As an external user, I want to navigate to https://<tenant>/sharepoint.com and arrive at the Client Success Portal with View Only (guest) permissions so that I can consume general news, events and documents that are available for all external users.

so that when I click the "My Projects" link in the top navbar, then I navigate to https://<tenant>.sharepoint.com//_layouts/15/sharepoint.aspx

so that I am presented with all of the Office 365 Groups that I have Read/Write (contributor or member) permissions and participate with my selected group.

...

1.  External Users, after receiving access to the Communication Site are not presented with a search input.

2.  External Users cannot see the Office 365 Groups on the SharePoint Portal

3.  External Users CAN navigate directly to the https://<tenant>.sharepoint.com/sites/<sitename>, but ARE NOT allowed to follow the site or take any action to pin the site to the SharePoint Portal.

Please help!!
