Exporting List Data to XML Template

Here is exactly what I am trying to do, would like to know if this is possible. 

 

1. Export a document from SharePoint to an external network drive using a triggered workflow. 

2. When the document transfer is triggered, the list information for that document, such as account number and name, will also be exported into Excel which will generate an XML file which will also be placed in the same external network drive that the document was exported to. 

 

I would like the XML file to be a template where the list information from the SharePoint list would populate specific lines of the XML. 

 

I would also like this all to be done automatically when triggered from SharePoint. 

 

Is this possible?
