Export to Excel with SharePoint on Mac

Hi :)

 

We are in a Mac-only environment and we need to have the functionality by using the button "export to excel" on SharePoint list. I know this button needs Active X, that is only for windows based systems.
So my question is: when does Microsoft implement this functionality for Mac Computers? Is there already an Update-Plan?

I also checked the workaround by doing this with Microsoft Flow. This Workaround is doing great, but all employees are working with a lot of filters and list views, so we can't setup a flow for every filter setting or list view. In the near future we want to setup a big address list in SharePoint with over 6000 items and the employees must have the possibility to render their list views with many filters in an Excel List.

I hope you can give me some feedback on this.

We are in the same situation. Is there any update on this?

ActiveX really reduces the functionality of Sharepoint for those of us who don't have the option of working in a Windows environment.

what version of SharePoint are you using?
