Events webpart not showing year

I was very exciting about the Webpart Event, right on till i realizes it can not show year. And what is date worth if you have no idea of what year this date is on?

@LeanDocumentation This is kind of known issue with the out of the box Events web part in SharePoint.

If you want Microsoft to provide this functionality, please upvote on this feedback/idea: Show Year of event in Events web part
