I'm trying to create a mail flow rule in exchange online that will encrypt outgoing emails based on the Sharepoint custom column 'Information Classification'. For example, if the info classification states Confidential is Strictly Confidential it should be sent out with the appropriate encryption.
Mail flow rules allow Encryption to be enforce based on properties, however as standard it only seems to work off attachment properties, not the Sharepoint column.
Any ideas, or am I going about this in the complete wrong way? ( I know you can use information protection on office files but currently don't really want to go down that route as all the classification detail is in SP and not at that level.)
