Users on each of the four sites on our tenant provide weekly updates about what's happening in their regional offices. One day a week, I send out an email of these news posts using 'Email a News Digest' found on this page https://company.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/news.aspx?newsSource=2 .
For three of the sites, the email shows how many views each post has received. For one of the sites, there is no view count. The view count is present on the news page (above url) and on each post page for the site.
