Does site admin have full control rights to lists having unique permissions (excluding the admin)?

In my case, I have created a list in SharePoint Online and set unique permissions. I removed everyone and granted myself & site owners Contribute rights. As a result, me & site owners lost the rights to access List Settings. In such a scenario, can the site admin come to rescue and grant me & site owners full control rights?

Go to the Admin centre and see how is the Site Collection Admin. Site Admin is different from Site Collection Admin who have all permissions.
