Default "home" to Root Site Collection Home Page when open a site in the SharePoint Mobile App instead of activity page.

Latest info is its rolling out to first release tenants - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/SharePoint/home-site   

You will need to set your home site to be the site you require for it to work. 

Caveat: I haven't tried this yet.

I get the following error while i try to change the Home Page.

Set-SPOHomeSite : The requested operation is part of an experimental feature that is not supported in the current environment.

The organization uses Standard release. I think it is available only for Targeted release for everyone. 

We cannot change this preference. 

How long it will take to enable this feature in Standard release.
