Creating an external view page that doesn't require signing in

Steel Contributor

Hi all,

I have a page on Sharepoint which has promoted link tiles on it.

All set up but when I ask an external person to view it they get this below:

I have 6 tiles set up and I can view them.

Please help!

HI @AB21805

Check permissions and see if External user have access to read that Promoted Tiles list.

Hi!
Where can I check this? Does this work for anonymous users too?

@AB21805

You can only allow anonymous access via a link. Therefore if you give one link to a page which then has content in another list on it, the content in another list cannot be seen by the anonymous users. There isn't a way to allow general anonymous access to content. You would need to get them to use Microsoft or Office 365 accounts and authenticate the users.

Hi @Andrew Hodges

Thanks for clearing this up.

I'm sharing a folder to anonymous users with documents in.

I can manage to share it but Id like for the background to be visible like it is here:

But when I share it anonymously they see it with a white background on top of my background like:]

Can this be changed?

Thanks in advance
